PETER CHIASSON (October 15, 1971 – June 8, 2012)

It is with tremendous sadness that Core Strength Inc. must announce the untimely passing of co-owner Peter Chiasson. Peter was struck and killed in a motorcycle collision on the afternoon of June 8, 2012.
This page remains on the Core Strength Inc. website to honour Peter, the former owner and our dear friend. He will be remembered for his impact on the health and wellness industry and most within the MAT/RTS family of talented and dedicated practitioners. Peter’s untimely passing will continue to be felt in the days to come. Please read, share his bio and understand a man completely dedicated to education and promoting the benefits of MAT and RTS. With over 20 years in the health and wellness industry, Peter Chiasson is one of the most educated and experienced health professionals in Canada. A Master Certified MAT™ (Muscle activation Techniques™) Specialist, a Masters designation with the Resistance Training Specialist program and a Rehabilitation Specialist as well an Instructor for both the MAT™ and RTS programs. Peter is also a nationally-ranked competitive bodybuilder and over many years has made it his personal goal to be at the leading edge of health and fitness education.
In 2003, Peter established Core Strength Inc. where he works as a senior therapist. Located in Toronto, Core Strength Inc. is the most comprehensive biomechanics based rehabilitation treatment and exercise mechanics training facility in the country. As one of the first Certified MAT™ Specialists in Canada and one of the only two specialists in Canada with both the RTSm and MATcms designations (the other is business partner and co-founder of Core Strength Inc., Eric Seifert), Peter has had numerous rewarding opportunities to teach force application and exercise mechanics to fitness and medical professionals alike and currently works with professional athletes, medical professionals from many fields, fitness experts, fitness beginners, seniors, as well as people with numerous traumatic conditions and injuries.
